Description

Location
Located on Lonesome Road near the intersection with Mill Creek Road in Cedar Grove. Approximately 8 miles from I-40/I-85 or the Town of Mebane.

Sale
A 13 acre sustainable fish farm, featuring one of two US IMO certified recirculating aquaculture systems. Taylors Fish Farm is a family-owned business in operation since 2009. The facility was designed and engineered with assistance from the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service and the North Carolina State University Department of Biological and Agriculture Engineering.

The advanced technology features a controlled feeding and waste removal environment of 6 tanks with phase 3 electrical power and back-up generator which produce product every 6 weeks. The system is inclusive of a GeoTube fabric configuration for effluent treatment, for an additional source of revenue. The resulting fertilizer has a broad range of non-traditional agriculture needs and is highly desirable.

The farm currently produces Tilapia for local retailers and restaurants and can be easily reconfigured for other types of aquaculture production. There is additional acreage available to expand operations such as a hatchery and processing facilities, resulting in increased productivity and added value.
