Yesterday, we started a 24 Hour one question Twitter poll, asking the question, "When you are on vacation, how often do you check your work email?" Three hundred twenty votes were cast. 55% of respondents check their work email, with a 30% checking it more than once a day, 17% once a day, and 8% less than once a day. 45% of the respondents asked for another drink, plz.
While far from a scientific poll, the results show that more than half of us do not leave our work behind when we take time off. I know I don't, and perhaps a part of me envies those who do. Twitter offers analytics on the audience for some posts, but they are not yet available for this particular post. I'm curious as to the demographic composition of the audience for this poll, and will append them when they are available. Who are these happy-go-lucky people that don't check their email, and when did I stop being one of them?
