It's just under a month until #LetsGetSmart18 @ICSCRECon! If you are getting this you are one of the generous people that have volunteered to speak, host, or video the event, thank you for agreeing to be a part of this.

For you first timers, #LetsGetSmart is a catch basin for the stragglers at RECon, but don't let that fool you! Last year's speakers really blew me away with their insightful talks, and alacrity in answering the participants questions. The CRE media has been catching up all year to what some of these thought leaders had to say. The important thing in these talks was that everyone picked their own topic, and it was something in which they were really interested. That sincerity really came across in the intimate environment.

And we captured all of it on video and created written summaries as well, so the ultimate audience is much larger than those in the booth listening at any given moment during the event.

Here's is a link to the sign up form. The success of the event is in no way determined by the number of bodies in seats, but rather the quality of content being provided. With the line up we have, this year's event is already a success, and that is thanks to you.

If you have time, interest, or ability to share info with your social media, or want to blog about it in advance, that would be terrific. Please contact me with any questions. You can email me at [email protected] or call me on my cell at 914-262-0026.

Here are the basics for #LetsGetSmart (btw, we have a website: www.letsgetsmart.info, where you can find this, too).

And before I sign off for now, thanks to Howard Kline from CRE Radio & TV for taking our video coverage up a notch. Rumor has it that he may try to live stream the event.

I also want to thank our co-hosts Brian Donovan of Donovan Commercial Real Estate who will be providing us with In-N-Out burgers and hopefully some fine red wine, booth-mates, Rich Lubkin of Benbrooke Realty Investment Co. and Rich Gladstone of Gladstone Development for consenting to turn the booth over for #LetsGetSmart18. And a shout out to Stephanie Waters from Perlmutter Properties who helps keep it all running smoothly.

See you all soon!
